3 Days Fever and Otitis Media

Mahilde is almost thirteen months old, and Saturday evening to Tuesday afternoon she has had a fever running (38.5 - 39 degrees C). Tuesday we went to the GP and he found that her ears were red, consequently she had a 7 days penicillin treatment.

The next day she had a rash on the torso, and my question is whether she has had the 3 days fever simultaneously, as the rash is very much similar to what you describe about 3 days fever.

She is still a little weak, whimpering and sleeps a lot. She has started to eat again, which is a sign that she will recover soon. I have also spotted a "swelling" in the back of her neck, approx. 5 cm from her left ear, and I wonder whether it is a swollen gland??
