Breastfeeding - will one Bottle Feed per week do any harm?
Hi Helen

I have a wonderful son at 9 weeks of age, he is healthy and is growing well. He is fully breastfed without any problems.

I am soon to start to take driving lessons, which means that my son and his father will be on their own for some hours one night a week, i.e. 6.30-8.30pm.

I plan to breastfeed him before I leave, however, according to his feeding routine, he cannot wait until I return to have his next feed.

For the last couple of weeks I have tried to express milk from my breasts, but without any luck, and I am beginning to feel a little stressed, so my question is whether it would harm the breastfeeding to give my son a bottle of formula once a week?

Thank you in advance.

Tine
