Does he get enough Milk?
Dear Helen

I have a wonderful boy, Sylvester, who is nine weeks old. From the very beginning he has been eating well and quickly from the breast, a breast feed usually takes less than 15 minutes. He makes very clear signs that he is satisfied, and until now he has refused when I have offered him the other breast.

The last couple of days, however, it seems as if breastfeeding from one breast is not enough anymore. He now drinks from both breasts, and is ready for another feed 1 1/2 - 2 hours later instead of the usual interval between the feeds of 3-4 hours.

He still sleeps well at night with a feed every 4 hours, where I offer him both breasts. In the daytime, he has a breastfeed every 2 hours and drinks from both breasts at every second feed.

Best regards
Heidi
