Could it be Cradle Cap or??
Hi Helen

My five months old son suffers from severe cradle cap, at least that is what I think it is! If the cradle cap is especially pronounced I rub oil onto his scalp and wait for approx. 20 minutes before I comb the scales away with a small comb.

Thus his scalps looks absolutely fine and I rub his scalp with a moisturizing cream ... But maybe I am wrong? In any case, next day his scalp is filled with scales, some can be rubbed off.

It often looks as general dryness and I therefore often rub moisturizing cream into his scalp, but it looks even more scales of greasy skin/cradle cap, and I am able to rub off the greasy skin substance with my nail.

This pattern is repeated over and over again, and I find it strange that he cannot get rid of the cradle cap. I would like to add that the condition does not affect him in any way.

I hope you might be able to help me.
Regards Mette
