Dear Helen
I am 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant, counting from the first day of my last period, which was the 23th of February. My last periods have been very irregular, however, with cycles of 42 and 35 days respectively, as I had a miscarriage last December.
Last week (7 weeks and 4 days pregnant) I experienced a little spotting, and I was offered an ultrasound scan. The position of the embryo was evaluated and a heart-beat was identified - what a wonderful relief. The embryo was measured to be 4 mm, and I understood that the size was somewhat small. I am up for another scan when I am 12 weeks pregnant.
Checking statistics on the embryo's size I deducted that I am probably only 6 weeks pregnant. I have therefore started to get a little worried, since I have already experienced one miscarriage, where an ultrasound scan also proved that the embryo was small. My nausea has more or less stopped.
Best regards
